Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) brought together Chinese and Azerbaijani tourism industry representatives through roadshows held in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou from September 15 to 19.

ATB representatives and tourism industry partners discussed prospects for cooperation with Chinese companies during the meetings.

The delegation also met with Mr. Bunyad Huseynov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the People’s Republic of China, at the Embassy.

As part of the program a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and China’s leading online travel platform Qunar. Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities will be jointly promoted in the Chinese market through Qunar’s extensive digital channels, while innovative approaches will be applied to further strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as a tourism destination according to the memorandum 

A business dinner attended by leading tourism companies such as Fliggy, Trip.com, and 8Continents gathered nearly 60 representatives of the Chinese tourism industry along with 20 local tourism stakeholders.

Roadshows concluded with B2B meetings held in Guangzhou.
